Question I need a blower cam that will pass emission tests. Help?

Hi,
I'm going install a Procharger P-1SC-1 6 psi kit + alycontrol before summer and why not stick in a blower cam since the engine comes out for lifter swap. Problem is that in Finland where I live there is an annual sniffer test. Limits are quite strict, for example HC must be below 100 ppm at idle (max 1000 rpm) and CO limit is 0,5%.

Now I have Comp Cams 216/220 525/.532 114 LSA -cam and it passes sniffer like nothing and it's not even tuned yet. So what kind of a blower cam should I be looking for?

Thanks

J-P

We have had really good results with our Blower camshaft(214/230-117LSA). Not 100% sure how strict the emissions are in Finland, but we have had no problems with it here.

The cam you have now is mild but would make a decent blower cam. Negative overlap, 4 more degrees on exhaust than intake.

There's also the VHP TRIPLE "X" cam, 222/228 115lsa w/.551" lift.
Then there's the EPS 218/226 113lsa w/.595"/.598" lift.
And then you can always go with a custom grind through one of the site sponsors.(IMO, your best bet).

I would probably stick with the Cam you have, should work fine with a Procharger.

I agree with staying with your current cam. That would work pretty well as a boost cam for a 346.

Thanks for the responses guys! My goal for the next summer is to make at least 500 rwhp with almost stock bottom end (Almost = ARP bolts, after market piston rings and new bearings for everything). If the cam that I have now is capable of that kind of HP I will be keeping it. After all, it's a great cam for a low end torque.

That Cam + Procharger will easily make 500rwhp+
