Post Difference btw GTO and Vette LS1

How do you explain the power/torque diff from these same engines?

Different camshafts or intakes?

Camshafts,

are all but identical.
Vette GM tuned, GTO Holden tuned.
Side by side the tunes are quite different.

Though installation differences too (intake and exhaust).

Well for one thing your comparing an early LS1 (pre `01) to the last LS1.
It's pretty common knowlede that all LS1's from `01 -04 are identical save for differences of oilpans and intake /exhaust tracks. The `00 Vette engine has a different cam and an LS1 intake, where as the `04 has the LS6 intake.

Plus the gearing difference.
