Default oil pressure question

i put a new TR oil pump in my 2000 vette. at startup im at 40psi. Im using 10w-30 mobil one, when it warms up,it drops to 15-20. is that too low?i have the slp double roller and i put in a new o ring. 1st,i bolted the new oil pump on. then i had to pull the pickup tube foward( with the new o ring installed) to get it into the oil pump. it seems maybe to much of an angle. maybe leakage between the o ring and pickup tube. any ideas guys?

Could be a few things.
1-the oil pump itself
2-Oring not seated good enough..I insyall the pickup tube first then pull the pump in with the mounting bolt's.
3-the spacer for the oil pump is installed upside down.(it still lines up but the oil hole is off a bit and restricts oil flow)
