Default cam question

if i was to put a set of 243 heads and a ls6 cam in my 2000 ls1 would i have to tune the computer for it to run right

Yes, When you change something in the engine you need to make the computer aware of it. The car would run but wouldn't make optimum power or mileage.

243 heads allows you to make alot power,ls6 cam leaves too much on the table .look around for cam choices .TSP combos,PAT-G/EPS cams.take your time ask a lot questions.
