Default Seriously what pump clears the cover and double roller TChain?

I have about 6hrs into my Melling 296. If it wasn't hitting the front cover the chain was hitting on the tube inlet and casting #s on the back. I did a search but don't want to go down this road again!

THANKS!

I just installed a melling. I had to grind the front cover. I ground the back of the pump a little. My SLP pump was also rubbing the timming chain. I think that it is nuts that these pumps don't work with a double chain. I would only use a double roller chain. The single row chain seem to get loose. Good luck.

Thanks for the info guys. Basically gonna throw $140 away and go a different route. There is only so much metal I can take off the pump before I don't trust it anymore.

I used a ported LS6 pump with a Rollmaster double and never had an issue.

I thought SLP sold one that would clear. A ported LS6 IIRC but I can't swear to it....
