I need a power steering pump kit for my LS6, is it the same than the LS1?

They are the same, what all do you need, for what vehical and where are you located?
I have everything, pump, resivior, lines, rack and pedders tierod ends out of my 04 GTO for sale if your interested. All work fine but I went with a manual rack

Since when did Gm start putting the power steering pump inside the engine?
