Default Ms4 Cam Piston to Valve Clearance Problems?

Someone mentioned to me potential piston to valve clearance issues with the Ms4. I thought the purpose of the Ms4 was to be the biggest cam possible without the necessity of notching the pistons. Any help guys? Thanks in advance

I had a MS4 in my 2001 z28 and had no issues. my heads were unmilled, stock 241s..in my experience with this cam as long as your heads are unmilled you should be fine..

Has anyone measured? If not, you may want to consider doing so to understand what your clearances are.

Looks like less then the recommended minimums. Best degree the cam and measure PTV during installation: Link

I just finished my cam/intake install last night. (MS4) I have a 2000 SS stock heads(never been off), I had NO issues with this cam, even without a tune (yet) I love the way it sounds. But as stated above give Texas Speed a call.

It's fine with un-milled heads. We went dot to dot on my buddy's car with no problems.. he's been driving on that for a while now.

The Cam fit's.I measured .040" on the intake before. Some people think this is fine but I cut the pistons anyways. I'm sure probly 80% of the people just throwing them in have had contact to the piston. The valves just make there own reliefs.

On my cam?? I didn't need to measure it. Nor did I do any math to figure it out. Smaller duration cam.

My buddy's MS4? No idea.. We didn't measure it. Nor did we do any math to figure it out. Just went off the idea that his heads weren't milled and should be fine as long as the cam was installed correctly. We didn't degree the cam, but I checked a couple times after spinning the engine to be sure the cam/crank marks didn't walk. We spun the engine over by hand before installing the plugs, no issues.. Then we disconnected the fuel pump relay an primed the engine/oil system manually before starting it. No issues. Fired it up.. (Well, had to take the heads off a COUPLE times to find the source of a damn ticking which turned out to be the darn oil pump pick up tube O ring.. AFTER A MONTH of dicking with it. Link in sig.)
