Default AFR heads?

I am looking at getting a set of afr heads and I am trying to figure out what to get. What is better 225cc or 205cc? Would 1.85 rockers be to much? What about a smaller combustion chamber like a 62cc? I am still gonna drive it on the street.

550rwhp or flywheel hp? i can tell you, you wont hit 550rwhp with any kind of combo on stock cubes, even on a solid roller setup i think thats pushing it. flywheel hp is possible with a very stout cam, full bolt ons and some stage III type heads with an m6.

Your 550hp is a little far fetch.Try 440rwhp if you want to daily drive it,unless your doing a Stroker.
As you know AFR's are not out yet.For stock cube you'd want the 205's..

The 205's are actually reccomended even for strokers up to around 400 CI. Beyond that the 225's would be the ticket. Don't try and run more than 11:1 compression on the street because the overall quality of 93 octane gas won't support much more than this without the engine experiencing detonation and knock retard. Look at the chart in the begginning of this section for references on what chamber sizes result in the different compression ratios.

I too would wait to see just how good these AFR heads are. You could quite possibly get more bang for the buck with TEA or Patriot.

At $1595 as cast bare ie no valves etc for the 205cc, I tend to think sr71bb makes a very good point. However, after TEA, MTI, Absolute & others develop new porting & valve jobs for the AFR's that will be the time to considering them IMO.
