Default Wondering about reusing original low mile lifters on H/C

Im just wondering when I do my H/C/I on my Z06 this spring if I could be OK reusing them since the lifters (and my motor) only have 14K miles on them. I am on a budget and can afford to get new LS7 lifters, but am a bit wery of their reliability. Does anyone know if my original LS1/LS6 lifters are better made or made by a different company than the LS7 lifters that superceeded them?

I don't see why you can't use them, being low mileage and all.
If I were you though I would still go ahead and get the ls7's they should only be about 100-130 and they work great. I have them in my car.
I believe LS1/LS6/LS7 lifters are all made by the same company

I put the cam in my SS a year and a half ago with 15k miles and now just broke 30k and absolutely no problems with my LS1 lifters. Since you are going H/C i would replace the trays as mentioned above atleast. if you have the money definately get some LS7 or Caddy V lifters as it never hurts to be safe!

I am running a C5 also an I will say that the lifters you have in there are fine no worries at all. I am running a some what aggressive cam with new stock LS1/LS6 lifters and I am happy with the results. I would say get better springs thats all and be done with it.

By the way what cam are you gonna run?

If you want the company that sells new LS1/LS6 lifers pm me Ill give you the info.
