Default Coolant Drain *****/Valves on LS1 Block?

I've searched but haven't found anything about this yet. I'd like to set up drain ***** on my block to facilitate draining coolant before pulling or working on the motor. As I understand it, there are two brass hex plugs on each side so I'm thinking I could pull these and drill/tap NPT threads for whatever size valves I can find to fit. I believe these plugs are different sizes. In a way, I find it hard to believe I'm the only one interested in doing this. Maybe I just haven't found it yet. I've installed these on Gen II blocks for years and it really makes it a lot less messy especially when pulling the heads while the engine is still in the car. With a little shop air through a few ports to blow out the remaining coolant, I can pull heads with virtually no mess. What do you guys think? Drill and tap the brass plugs or is there something I'm overlooking? Thanks

Maybe someone looked for info, didn't find any, figured it out, then said to hell with everyone else and is keeping it to himself.
