Default Cam issues.

Is it possible to put a thunder racing cam in backwards and lose horsepower?

did you check to make sure you have all the connections right, there are no ses lights, and most important that the timing chain isnt a tooth off

I don't think you can put it in backwards, but if you didn't align the timing gears right, it could cause a serious power loss.

If you installed it that much out of sync, you'd have more problems than a little lost power.

When I installed my cam, it ended up off a tooth and I lost 10 RWHP and picked up around 20 lb. ft at the wheels. On the dyno, the car sounded "flat"...like it just didn't want to pull. I was pissed. We had four people who knew what we were doing look at the dots and the damn thing still ended up being off a tooth.

We pulled it apart to look at it and sure enough...off one tooth. After realigning the marks, the difference was night and day. If all else is in order, check the marks. One tooth will cause major power loss. Good luck.

the only things I have is a cutout and Flp long tubes. I seem like I climb on the oh speedo faster but it feels like ****. With a cam I should pull on other peoples stock ls1 right??

With my setup, I walked away from a WS6 without any problems at all. There should be big differences between cars when one is giving up 60-70 RWHP.
