If its pushing the dipstick out and you lock it in place, it will just force oil out somewhere else eventually.

Your getting a lot of compression in the crankcase if its blowing the dip stick out and thats not good for making HP.

As was posted ...if you are blowing the dip stick out you have a problem that needs to be addressed ... locking the dip stick in the tube is not a solution to your problem ... think about it ..

X3

Fix the crank case pressure problem. When I went to forced induction I was on the dyno for the first time and I had the timing cover seal push out of the engine @ 5,000 rpm. 6 qt's of oil came out in about a second. I though I was going to have a heart attack, $7,000 engine with 300 miles on it. I wish my dip stick would have poped out instead of the seal, must have a good O ring i guess. I have also heard of guys loosing the rear main seal and soaking their clutch in oil.

Well I don't know if that is the issue. You know that pack of cables that runs near it? I'm wondering if one of those is pulling it up some

Problem solved! I thought I would update... The bundle of cables was pulling out on WOT. I moved them back and checked it twice today and zero movement of the dipstick.
