Default Which heads? (f13 cam)

Ive been searching but cant really find what im looking for.

I cammed my car 3 years ago and would like to get some bigger numbers out of her. It currently has a Futral f13 cam, full headers back exhaust (with cutout after y) and an ls6 intake manifold.

Simple question (maybe not such a simple answer). What heads will yield the best numbers for this combo and roughly what can i expect for hp/tq?

How much you looking to spend? I guess thats a good place to start.
LS6 243's are good stock budget heads.
AFR,Trickflows,TSP,etc... are pretty good power heads but are pricey.

I was going to pick up some PRC 1.0 LS6 heads to match to my f13. I've only heard good things, people seem to pick up really good power, and they are priced just right. Not sure what kind of budget you are working with.

That cam is pretty close to a TSP TV2. When I was a cam only I added a set of PRC Stage 1 LS6 heads and picked up 50 RWHP on the dyno.

To be honest I havent committed to a price yet. Id like to see what my best option is and look around for a set of used ones.

As far as AFR goes, is the 205's the best option? I would assume 225's are to large...

The difference is always $$.
In OEM castings I like Cartek 243 4x (pricey but worth every penny)
Aftermarket TFS 215, or AFR 205

Budget I leave it up to you.

How much of a power difference would 'as cast trickflows' be over ported 243s?

It's already been said, but it's all about $$. AFR or TFS would be my top choices if money were not an issue.

TEA (Total Engine Airflow) heads work very well with that cam. I made 460/410 7 years ago with that cam, a set of hand finished TEA Stg 1.5 5.3's, and the supporting bolt ons. Stock TB, stock LS6 intake, 98 computer, through a Ford 8.8/4:10's.

TEA's are somewhat budget friendly too.

Yes, TEA has quality work but a bit more pricey than budget. Kinda like a middle price.

I'd still consider them budget. Price straight from TEA's website is $1499.99 for the 5.3L 1.5's. That's only $200 more than the elcheapo Patriots. You get a LOT more for that $200 too.
