I have about $400 to spend right now on motor mods? What can I get with this I was looking at a cam from tsp but what else is all needed to install this? Other options are welcome as well.

I haven't purchased a cam, but I think that will exceed your $400 budget.

You have to pay for the cam, have it installed (which can be done yourself), and get a tune. Add all that on other parts you might as well replace while doing it, it's going to add up quickly.

A used LS6 intake/TB would be a good start.

for 400 there is little to nothing unless you can get a good deal on used headers(shorties more than likely not worth it), LS6 intake or a really good deal on 243 heads. Me you I would troll ebay and see what you can ****** up or the classifieds here on the forum. If you do not have it a cold air intake will wake her up a little. Also a tune will do a lot for her and for about 400 your looking at a good street tune. Me you and I am sure you don't want to hear this is save the money and just keep adding to the car fund.

400 dollars aint gonna put a new cam in your ride, there aint a whole lot your gonna get for that amount. Intake get ya a little power, If you dont have headers thats where I would start. You will need them to take advantage of any mod you have planned.
That being said,,, for instant power you can get you a Nitrous kit for around 400 bucks, that will give you a kick in the pants. Just be reasonable and dont OD your car on the juice.

I would say an LS6 intake if you dont have one and then save the rest.

Ive got an NX EFI wet kit with bottle heater for $250 if you want, I bought it used a couple years ago to go on my 79Z (was going to switch it to a carb setup) but never got around to using it. Has a automatic opener as well.

i agree... a cheap nitrous kit would be the way to go. nothing else for 400 bucks will come close.

a cam your talking valve springs, gasket kit, hardened pushrods, new timing chain... a cam is around a $700-1000 project doing it yourself, atleast doing it correctly.

i think cam kits run around 700 at TSP so thats out of your budget. save up for it so you can buy everything at once

a list of your current mods would help as well...
