ring gap nitrous 300 shot? I'm assembling my motor and about to file fit my rings and need to know the ring gap recommended for a 300 shot. I've been told .024 top and .026 2nd does this sound right for 4.010 weisco pistons and steel top ring. i posted this in the nitrous sections too wasnt sure which would give me the best response.

ya i have those calculations with my rings but what is considered moderate nitrous. and the heavy nitrous says race only. this is still gonna be a street car so what ones should i use? the street moderate came out to like .020 top and .022 or close on the 2nd and the race only came to .028 top .029 2nd. the street one i know will be to tight for 300 so will the race only be ok on a street car, that will be ran n/a 75% of the time
