cylinder head cross over tube...needed??

Default cylinder head cross over tube...needed??

so i just finished mounting up the heads intake to my lq4(ls3 heads and vic jr intake) and was wondering do i need the cross over tube or can i block it off with out ill effects? or should i keep it? trying to keep the engine as clean looking as possible....thanks

The crossover tube that goes in the front 2 coolant ports is a necessity. Do not remove it.

Just like the old LT1, the LS1 needs to bleed air off the top of the heads so it does not get trapped and cause hot spots. Since there is not coolant flowing through the intake, the tube does that job. So, leave it on.

GOTYA wasnt sure my original one also had another on one side that went to the intake or heater hoses i think...gonna plug that hole and leave the cross over....
