Whats the stock piston deck height in a 346ci ls1?

The factory piston compression height is 1.340" +/- a couple thou.

The factory deck height is 9.240"

does that answer your question?

thanks, sorry i wanted to know if the piston goes out of the bore, flat, or slightly below in the bore at TDC?

with or without the heads on?

on paper
(stroke length/2 + rod length + piston CH) - deck height = deck clearance

without the heads on...a feeler gauge seems kinda inaccurate...a dial indicator?

average ls1 with a stock block and crank is about 005-008? out of the hole?
its got compstar rods and diamond ls1 pistons 1.309
