I'm getting ready to get my 6.0 put together later this week, and back in the car by next weekend. Right now, it just has a stock LS1 oil pump on it, but I figure I might need something better. Which pump should I go with? Would a stock LS6 pump be good enough, or should I get a ported one, or what? Motor will be stock rebuilt LQ4 6.0, with TSP 231/236 cam, and stock L92 heads, with full bolt-ons.

Stock LS6 is fine. Nothing wrong with a ported pump either. Either way would work. If you are on a budget I would say get which ever one is a better deal at the time.

Just had a guy PM me and says he has a new Thunder Racing ported and shimmed LS6 that he'll sell me for $80 shipped. Sounds like an awesome deal to me. So, I think I'm going to go that route. Better than $105 for a stock LS6 from WS6Store.
