Default Need help picking a cam ( newbie )

2000 6speed WS6 about to go under the knife and need help picking a cam. Here is what I have bought so far to put on the car ( its bone stock as we speak ):

25% UD Pulley
SLP Lid
LS6 Intake
Stock heads (241)
Long Tubes
ORY
Borla Catback
3:73's ( already installed )
160 or 180 stat ( havent bought yet )
Port and polished TB and MAF
Minor weight reduction
EGR and AIR Delete

I plan to race this thing and cruise it as much as possible. I plan on having Speed Inc do the tune so cam profile/tune issues wont be a problem. I DONT want anything radical, I do plan on spraying the car 100 - 150 MAX at some point down the road. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Cams I was looking at:

CheaTR
Torquer V3
??

Im a SBF guy who recently stepped over to the other side for a minute so
I dont know any of the vendors that supply cam profiles to the LSX community so you will have to excuse my ignorance if I ask dumb questions.

Thanks

You could always call Texas-speed or someone and get a custom one for a little more. Everyone has there opinions on a certain brand and such so will a custom one they will give you exactly what you want out of your car. For the nitrous though any cam that favors the exhaust side should you out there.

+1 for calling Texas Speed. Ask for Jon, he has been great at answering technical questions.

I like the 233/239 596/605 on a 112 cam from Texas Speed. Mine is being installed this week.

Good Luck

Just call a vendor and tell them the lobe #'s and they will order it for you and have it drop shipped to your house or Speed Inc....

And yes he gave you the lobe #'s so you can find it on Comps site....
