People running the G5X-3 inside please.
I was looking at purchasing this cam package for my daily driver and was wondering if there is anything that needs to be brought to my attention...for example flycutting the pistons?etc...? What are you guys spinning the motor to? I see that the cam make max power at about 6500rpm's and max torwue at around 4800. How is the driveabilty assuming a good tune? Also what gears should I look at running with this particular camshaft? Thanks for the help!!!

The X-3 is a pretty big cam for a daily driver, but with proper tuning it should behave. You should look into some 4.10 gears. That should put you at peak power around the end of the 1/4 in 4th. If you have stock heads, you do not have to flycut, but anything otherwise: milling, bigger valves etc., may require cutting givin the application.

Installed mine myself along with all my other mods, its a piece of cake. If you are staying with your stock heads, the job is a breeze. You will have to change valve springs though. Give Lou a call and he will set you up with a complete package, they are running a special right now. I think it includes everything, even the gaskets.
