Ok, so maybe I am overreacting and maybe not, I know they put these magnets on the plugs to collect stuff like this but I was changing my oil on Saturday and pulled the plug and I noticed quite a bit that had collected on the plug, nothing big and chunky just fine fine particles. I did do a H/C/I swap about 1700 miles ago. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? The car only has 14000 miles on it so just wondering what to think about this.

if it looks like a gray sludge your fine. If its gold and shiny= time for rebuild...

sounds normal if the car has some miles on itand the magnet has not been cleaned., What you need to do is clean it real good, and keep an eye on it every oil change, if it builds up again quickly then something is wrong.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, it was a grayish sludge and nothing chunky in it, I am not sure if the plug had been cleaned in awhile, I moved from Iowa to Chicago about a year and a half ago for a year of that time the car had been at my grandfathers in the garage, up till then I had performed all service/maintenance on the car personally but while I was here and it needed a change my grandfather took it to good old Wal-Mart for the change so who knows if they cleaned the plug off or not..... I cringed when he told me where he had taken it...
