Default Need a little with combo?

I come from mustangs. I know the lingo and know some pretty reliable 302 351 combos. But I know very little about the 350 engines. As far as what works with what and whats best for a budget. I will be getting a wrecked 2002 corvette sat the 10th. The motor is stock and only has 33k on it. I understand that they come with 350fwhp.

My goal is at least 400 rwhp and the more the better. I am on a pretty tight budget because I'm building a FFR GTM kit car and need to save the money for it. The car comes with special made exhaust so I can't change that.

I have put this together just from reading a few days. What kind of power would it yield me. Thanks in advance. Kris

2002 ls1, with used ls6 heads, mail order tune, and what ever cam you guys say I should use.

If you're going to get stock unported ls6 heads then i would keep the cam in the low 230s. I have a 99 trans am and i am going to be getting a tsp228r cam to use with my stock heads but when i get ls6 heads i will probably go with something around 232. goodluck with the car man

They've made some pretty insane power with stock ls6 heads and their custom cam lobes.
