I was told that TSP has run this cam with .010 off the heads. with 1.57 exhaust valves. The told me that my TEA 5.3 lilter 2.02/1.60 with .010 milled, would be very close but should work.

We have seen a customer try .010" milled off of his heads with our 231/237 cam, and it did work. The clearance does get close, and we ALWAYS recommend that customers check their piston-to-valve clearance to verify that they do have adequate clearance with their setup. With a cam as large as our 231/237, we will recommend to not shave the heads. Shaving a set of heads .030" with this cam and stock pistons will certainly not work, but it's a different ballgame if you have valve reliefs.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
