Default Cheater V3

Just got off the phone with TR a couple hours ago about the Cheater V3 cam. I wanted to know if anyone on here has any experience with this cam or thoughts.

Thanks

Yea Shane at TR told me the same thing. 30 - 40 rwhp with very minor tuning. It should be a very nice can. Now I just have to find the time to get it installed.

Nice, I gotta save some money to get me the same cam and some worked Ls6 heads. I'm going for the sleeper look, so when I put the hurt on the new Camaro's they go home crying. And If they ask for my mods, I will tell them Lid and flow-baster

Nice... Im thinking of going with the TSP stg 2.5 5.3 heads. Better on the budget. But its going to be a long while before i can afford them after all the money im spending on the cam.

Im more worried about the new 5.0 then the camaro. At least if the camaro beats me its another GM product. But if the Stang beats me then all hell breaks lose lol.

Well you think about the hp gain, Cheater V3 30 - 40 Hp gain.

TSP 228R hp gain 35 - 40 as well. But more tuning required.

So to me it makes sense to go with the Cheater V3

Yeah I have been doing some research 2, but there is not a whole lot. This is the best info I found https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...-mild-cam.html I'm going to use stock manifolds just like they did. With my weight reduction and those mods I should be good against those 5.0's.

Not many people run the cheater cams b/c 99% like the rough idle.

Since you didnt want a rough idle, that should be right up your alley.

Good luck.
