Default Lifter bushings needed?

Standard bore cam, LSx. .725 lift. Will the lifters drop too far to cause problems?

As long as the base circle of the camshaft isn't smaller, I don't think you should have any problems.

Yeah. Cam specs are limited. I'll have to compare it to another I guess.

Depends on lifters and cam. Shouldn't be a problem with most deals.

This is a solid cam obviously.

Looks like base circle is 1.400. What would be a good lifter without spending a fortune. I was thinking the Morel with the link bars. Would a spring in the 700 open/ 250 closed, range be o.k.? Probably shift in the 7k range. Anything special needed with the oil system?

I don't know if Morel has an .842 link bar solid that works yet? The old ones needed bushings whereas the drop ins worked. The pressure depends on what lobes and the mass of the parts etc and the frequency of the spring and its mass. The spring you are talking about has a lot of pressure but without knowing anymore I can't say much.

I heard the new Isky lifters are nice, but I don't know if they make them for ls1. I'm running Edel. 245cc heads from West Coast CH. Titanium retainers. Stainless int. and inconel ex. valves. CM pushrods. Haven't decieded on rockers yet. Probably the Jessel or Comp.

I was going to say before he gave the base circle that it definately HAS to be smaller. No other way to fit that much lobe lift on a cam and have it still pass through the cam journals of a stock block.

Yeah. It was actuallay bigger than I would've thought. I checked a stock truck cam laying around and it checks in at 1.550. So .150 smaller doesn't seem too bad.

I was dead set on getting rid of the stock lifter trays but I see alot of people running them. Can they hold up? The whole design seems chikn shiz to me. I've never had a problem with them tho.

I like the link-bars as well but it all depends. The crower lifters are very nice but almost double the money.

Alright. It looks like the isky, crower, morel, and the comps are all about the same price. The morel, comp, crower are similar in design. The red zone isky are thinner at the tip. Looks like they have a slightly larger pin and come in a couple different lengths. Which one to buy? It's likely between the Morel, crower, or isky. Reading the problems with the old comps kinda turns me off.
