Thumbs up Comp Cams rocker arm trunion upgrade!!!

I just got my L92/LS3 rocker arms back from having the crappy trunions replaced with Comps Trunion upgrade kit. No more worrying about needle bearing destroying my engine!!!!

I sent them to Brian at Spectacle Solutions and he pressed them in for me! Here is his install thread...https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-s...m-upgrade.html

Bonus!! I thought I might have to buy the shorter rocker arm bolts for the intake since I have CNC heads and typical bolts are said to stick into the runner. The bolts included are just right!

Ill have to see if my old rocker bolts were protruding into my intake port or not.

Best upgrade I did by far very best. You will be very happy not having to worry about the needles ruining your engine. I spin mine to 6800 and am running a 614 lift on my cam. Shes not a DD but I do run her some times for a week straight at times when I feel the itch. 94K on the clock and still running strong. Love them LS engines dam it.

I ordered min straight off of Comps site. Its $5 cheaper off of Summit, but these are so popular I wanted them ASAP. So ordering off Comps site made sure I didn't have to wait for them to send them to Summit then wait for Summit to ship them to me. Summit is still backordered on them its says for 9 more days. I have mine delivered and installed already.

When I bought the Comp Cams rocker arm trunion upgrade, mine didn't come supplied with the washer that goes in between the bearing and retaining clip.

The Harland Sharp trunion upgrade rocker arms do come with the washer that goes in between the bearing and retaining clip.

The Comp vs Harland looks like the same parts with the exception the washers not being supplied with the Comp kit.

So you sent them your stock cores and they send back a set with the upgrade already installed? How much did it run you?

The Comps are a do-it-yourself kit.

Harland Sharp setup requires you to send in a set of OEM rockers and now they offer a new do-it-yourself kit.

Either way the Harland Sharp is supplied with the washers.

These kits are now back in stock! They are a very hot item and won't last long untill they are out again. Call and place your orders....

$215 shipped back to you.

Thanks,
Brian

I'm not sure, but it seems to me that you press out the stock trunion, and then the new trunion is held in by a circlip on each end.

Is the Harland Sharp price for doing 16 rockers (Comp's price is for doing 8)...?

edit: Comp's is for 16, I just wasn't able to read.

They are press in. My price is for the kit installed on your rockers. If you want just the Comp kit, it's $140 shipped

What is the added benefit of the flat washer that comes with the Harland Sharp kit?
