Default stock crank ?s

I have the chance to purchase a forged ls1 for a pretty reasonable price.. the only thing is it has a stock crank I was wondering how well do those hold up?... also I will be running either a 200 or 250 shot and the tune by boost performance which is a pretty reputable shop.

i had a talk with the engine builder doing mine and he was explaining you can use the stock crank on nitrous applications because it's not puttin constant heat and pressure on your crank like a blower would.

i might have said it wrong but stock is fine if you don't S/C it, when you supercharge it you would need to go forged . . . so in your case your good all day long

The stock crank is uncharacteristicaly strong. It can be used for just about anything in the 1000 HP and under category, some have pushed it past that with success.

We have never been able to break a stock crank, even after 1000hp. Unless you are doing something pretty crazy the stocker will get it done.
