Default Anyone using the Edelbrock 2-piece timing cover?

I haven't seen any recent info about this product. Is anyone using it, and can give some feedback? There are 2 versions, which one fits on what motors?

4254 is for engines that don't have the cam sensor in the timing cover and 4255 is for engines that do have the cam sensor in the timing cover. I have used one and works nice if you have an adjustable timing set and want to making cam timing adjustments without pulling the whole cover off but I was unable to complete a cam swap by just taking the upper piece off.

Be prepared to do some grinding to make it work.

HCCH: So the cam gear and chain will block the way for the cam to come out? I was interested in this solely for an easier cam change later on.

WKMCD: Where would we have to do some grinding? I am using a OEM LS2 chain, and a melling 10296.
