i have a 2001 trans am m6 it will not start if i let it sit for like a month it will start when it starts it idles fine but when i drive it down the road it jerks an will not put out all the power it is a stock ls1. i had to codes pop up an they were for the knock sensors so i replaced both of then tried to start it and it took a very long time to start it when it did no engine lite came on and it idled fine but it still jerks an will not put out all of its power feels like i am towing something when i try an drive it. when i cut it back off i tried to start it and it will not start again does anybody know what could cause this could it be the crank sensor or what like i said sometimes after like a month it will start up i have fire an fuel to the engine.

check ur engine coolant temp sensor on the drivers side head rite below cyl 1 i worked for chevy and i had a couple cars that did the same as urs and the engine coolant temp sensor will deffinetly do this

Whip out your scantool and report back with your Bank 1 and Bank 2 LTFT percentages.

Also get a fuel pressure reading at the rail w/ the engine running at idle.

ok thanks i will check engine coolant sensor an i checked the fuel pressure an it is right do u guys think the camshaft sensor could cause this

alsowhat about the crankshaft sensor i read that if this goes bad that it will not start but will i still get fire i checked that an the car gets fire an fuel i was able to get the car to start yesterday but i had to use starter fluid once it started it ran but i jerked a whole lot
