Default rough idle

My mechanic just put a new water pump in my 99 TA and a rear main seal.. Now for some reason it idles rough,no codes,no spark plug wires off..

did he pull anything else off? maybe check for a vacuum leak?

Any wires on the headers? Did he pull the headers off? Cracked a plug?

I don't have headers..I don't think he had to mess with the plug wires.. It vibrates the worst when you start taking off..

could be the way he re-installed your tranny. did he replace the throw-out bearing?... Auto or M6?...

I would be looking at the tras as well. Do you have an A4 or M6?

Check for vacuum leaks and loose sensor connections. Hell take it back to the mechanic and tell him to find the problem.

its an auto..there are no codes..its gotta be vacuum I'm thinking..

You should take it back to your mechanic.
