vortec 4.8 and 5.3 question what kind of manual transmissions can i bolt onto a vortec 4.8 and 5.3? i dont trust the T5's 3rd gear and i dont have ~$1800 for a rebuilt T56..
and other inexpensive options? 4,5,6sp? i really dont want a auto for this project

do t56's bolt straight up to the vortecs? i know the T5 needs some modifacation..the t56 would be nice for thos trips to ohio, and shorter gears for the road course
