you should get the cam card to make sure. the cam card will tell you how the cam was ground.

What LSA did you order? On the Comp cam cards it has a line that says intake centerline...what does that line say on yours? When you say your came up with 117º, is that what you came up with for the seperation angle or the centerline on the intake?

If you're sure it's being measured correctly then you need to retard the cam 4 degrees to get back to 113 ICL. It may be worthwhile to check the exhaust lobe as well to ensure the cam is ground correctly.

Also, check the intake valve open and close 0.050" points. This will verify your centerline measurement.

I told you wrong, the cam was retarded 4 and needed to be advanced. You need to go 8 degrees the opposite way (net 4 deg advanced). Sorry man... I told you backwards.

Yes when you advance the cam the centerline goes lower. For instance my 111+2 is at 109 ICL......
