Default Head swap checklist

Im putting a set of ls6 heads on my car probably this weekend or next weekend. So far i have....
Ls6 heads that have been surfaced, hand polished, and cleaned
stock GM mls head gaskets
ls7 lifters
Fel pro head bolts
Centerbolt valve covers and brackets
New oil and filter
new coolant

Should there be anything else i need or need to know about the swap? I put my cam and stall in my car so it should not be that hard. Im going to reuse my PAC springs, they only have about 4k miles on them. Im hoping the car picks up some good power from the swap. The car is a 98 (806 heads) 224 230 581 592 cam, yank 3000, ls6 intake, full bolt ons. The car currently traps 113 but i really hope that goes up with the swap. Any input or advice is appreciated

Push rods are a must. It's only about $100 to $120. I would also pick up a set of GM head bolts just becuase I trust them a touch more. Also you may have to do a little work with your PVC system. I had to becuase I have a 98 too.

Not that I know of, but wouldn't surprise me in the least. I got my gm bolts and gaskets through Summit btw. Faster and cheaper then the stealership.

Agree'd or studs. On cars i work on i have them buy the studs if i'm taking the heads off. I had a bad experience with a set of new stock headbolts which is why i go with studs.

And i would also say a retune would be in order, and also a yes for the pushrods they are cheap and you won't have to worry about bending them and then tearing into the valvetrain again. I dunno about lifter cups i haven't ever seen one broken in the cars i have worked on.
