my next head and cam set up
i am buying a head/cam package next month and i decided to go with the TSP
tsunami 235/240 .6xx/.6xx on a 111 lsa with the 2.5 ls6 heads or the 2.5 5.3 heads. my car has all suporting mods in sig and the car is really only used for occasional fun(track days, car meets etc...) ive heard the ussual bad things about a cam this big. but ive seen numorous dyno sheets and this cam seems to make great power and pretty good torque. i dont mind loosing a little bit a street manners, i just want a bad *** nasty car that is good for mid to low
11's and has 450+rwhp (which ive seen this setup make close to 500rwhp) next year i plan on adding a 12 bolt w/ 4.11s or maybe even 4.30 gears, FAST102/102(ported) bigger injectors and maybe 1 7/8 headers. so what i am asking is, what do you guys think of this setup? will the gears make up for low end power loss? if i can shift at 6500 i should still be in my powerband when i up shift. let me know if you guys this this would be a good way to go?.
here is a dyno sheet i found for this cam as you can see in the graph this cam makes tons of power and this is without fast intake.

Seems like a good combo, like you said if you dont mind losing some street manners then go for it.If it were me and I drove in the street a lot I would get a little smaller cam,but if you want big dyno numbers, I say do it

Since you already created a thread recently discussing this exact combination...I'll just post its link with my thoughts mentioned...

You might need the injectors when the H/C go in. You will prolly be close to maxing out the duty cycle of the stockers. I would go ahead and start looking for a deal on some Redtops or even some 42lb#'s. I have been seeing Redtops going for $125 now so that is the best bang for the buck.... The 42#'s I have noticed go for about $50 more but Redtops would be perfect for your setup....
