Default Which Oil Pump?

I'm going to order a new oil pump soon and I'm wondering which one I should get. Scoggin-Dickeys ported/bluprinted/coated Melling pump, ot Texas Speeds ported/shimmed LS6 oil pump? Which one do you guys have, and what's you oil psi cold/hot?

Thanks

MELLING 10296 !

Just put mine in last weekend with my cam install. Runs about 70psi cold and will settle at about 50-55 when fully warm.

You sound exactly in the same position I was about 2 months ago....

I ended up going with the melling because of their history. I'm sure Texas speed and scoggin make GREAT stuff (And I know they do because I run their parts). But when it comes down to oil pumps specifically melling knows best.

If I want a cam/heads/ various performance stuff I'll call TSP.

If I want great parts/ crate engines/ etc.. I'll call scoggin.

(Again- thats not to say TSP/Scoggin don't make great stuff!!!!)

Scoggin-Dickys ported, coated & blueprinted pump is a Melling unit. I wonder which Melling pump would benifit me most, #10295 has 10% pressure increase and the 10296 has an 18% pressure increase

Im running a Melling M295 which is a stock replacement pump. I think people get caught up too much on the high pressure/volume debate.

I've always thought unless you were running a turbo or a motor with loose tolerances, you should stick with std. volume/pressure, otherwise you're wasting power pumping needlessly.

get the 10296 man seriously. It's also cheaper than TSP/ scoggin as well if I remember correctly
