woundering who is using a texas giant cam?
what they think of it?
how it runs and what power does it makes?
what they have it in?

I dont have any experience with it, but the only thing ive seen it in was 402+ cubic inch motors.

i have it in a tsp 408 with shitty patriot ls6 heads and it put down 490/480....idles real smooth no surging, easy to drive

My Texas giant is coming in today, Its going into a 402 with TEA TFS 225 heads, hoping for 515-535 rwhp

tsp408 with trickflow 215s fast 92, just got the cam in but man its hard it get it to idle. Im new to the HP tunners so i will figure it out.

I run a custom cam with the duration almost identical to the tx giant in my lil 370, makes ~500/450 through a heavy drive train.

well im debating on in the next year or two to either go 408 or go with a fully built ls3 with a texas cam but trying to use a texas xam in whatever motor i go with next

I have a similar cam but on XFI lobes for sale. My TA ran the ET in my sig with the cam. Driveability was suprisingly good considering the cam size. PM me if interested.

my buddy had one in his old 408 made 502-49x he had patriot stage III's ls6 intake shanner tb, 1 7/8 lt's td's and a t56

That thing would idle probably about like the TRex cam. They have the exact same valve overlap (25°). I don't know that I would run this in a 346 even if you plan on going to a 402/408/414 later on. I ran a 244/248 in my old 346 and it was a dog until about 5k. T56 car.

oh im not thinkin of using a iant in my 346 im leavin the car with pacesetter lts and ory untill i get the money to get a ls3 or i decide i can take out the loan for a decent motor build

I dont want to step on your toes or anything, but just as a good word of advice, I would not take out a loan on something that isnt a necessity.

well not a full 5 plus thousand dallor loan i mean maybe a 1 or 2 thousand dallor loan for that last little bit i need that can also help me etablish credit and pay it back sooner cause i dont have any credit at the moment so yeah just help my future out on that

Just dont get too deep. Easier way would probably be to get approved on a credit card as opposed to getting a loan at the bank. Just make sure you pay on it.
