Default bad lifters?

looks like some ls7 lifters are in my future. they only have 30K on them...15K stock and 15K with bigger cam. check the pic



not all look like this and the cam looks perfect

royal purple 20w50 or mobile one 15w50. reason for the thick oil is the bearing tolorences that the motor was built with. nitrous motor

I would take a look at the viscosity values and other specs for Red Line or Amsoil in the 20w050. I think you will find either of those offer more protection than the Royal Purple or Mobil 1. In any event, I would be looking for a new lubricant.

ya also i was thinking about it and i think the cold startups in the winter could also be a cause. that thick of oil the cold weather cant be good.

i used to run amsoil all the time and my dad used to be a dealer but not anymore. i think i may try something different and maybe try some 10w40 and see how my pressure look after i get everything back together
