Default heads/cam info asap ....ordering monday

ok i had another post about a week ago but to keep it simple i thought i would just start this one that is straight to the point

i have narrowed down to 2 cams!!!
ms3
torquer v3

talked to tsp and they said the ms3 cam will not clear with the stage 2.5 ls6 heads
but will clear with the stage 2.5 5.3 heads
also would clear with the stage 1 ls6 heads

what would be a better set up?
the ms3 cam with the stage 1 ls6's or the stage 2.5 5.3l heads??????

or i could do the trq v3 cam with either heads......
between these 2 cams which ones do you guys like??
please give results and as much info as possible i really want to order a kit monday so it will be on the way

Don't count on 10's w/o putting the car on a serious diet or spray. Out of your choices TV3 and ls6 stage 2's.

the car went 7.90s a couple weeks back in the 1/8th
still with a stock engine......if i remember correctly the 60' was high 1.8s or low 1.9s
i am confident with more seat time and better traction it will go 7.70s like it sits
my goal is to run high 6's in the 1/8th with the heads and cam and i am told that would be a 10 second pass

gonna get some 90/10s 4 front and take the sway bar off before i take it back also

how does your ms3 drive on the street?
how bad is it down low?
what rpms does it start really pulling hard?
how does it do at the track? do you have any times?

Dont want to get off topic, but i was wondering if the clerance issue was because its a fox body or some other circumstance or situation specifically for your build, or is it a generic problem? I was planning on going with pretty much the same H/C combo of the MS3 & 2.5 ls6 heads, but for my ls1. But i would go with 2.5 ls6 heads and a good cam that can compliment them.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat ?
I think his fog lights made a piston to valve clearance issue

Anyway, I would go MS3 & PRC LS6 if drivability is not in ur list

just flycutt your pistons and run the ms3 and 2.5 ls6
going to be you best bet
otherwise run the v3 and 2.5 ls6
its better to have a good head with a smaller cam then a bigger cam with a worse head

If it's all about the ET's for you, I'd go Stage 2.5 5.'s and the MS3! If the street manners are a bit of a concern, and you want nice ET's, then the Stage 2.5 LS6's and TorquerV3 would get my vote!
