How Much Oil will a -8 an fitting flow??
I want to run my oil lines through the galley plugs, the rear plug is shrouded by the block, I can't use a -10 fitting, I cant use the special -10 an made for this because of the length of the fitting,(car is awd) any answers? Thanks
These pics are of the -10 fitting, I don't think ginding is an option?? not much meat around the rear oil pan bolt. I tought the banjo fitting was the answer, but the bulb is too fat to install the bolt.

That was my first thought, even made a longer bolt so I could space the banjo fitting over the lip, I have alluminum block with a crack in it where the rear oil pan bolt is, made me not want to grind it.
I think an -8 will clear it.

-10 AN tubing has almost twice (190%) the flow capacity of -8 AN tubing. If the distance is small (several inches as opposed to feet) it will not likely matter. On the other hand, if the distance is large (several feet as opposed to inches) the work around is to use -8 AN fittings where you have to, but convert to -10 AN for the longest section. This will minimize the pressure & volume drop involved.

I can use 10 an lines on the system except for where it enters the rear oil galley.
The oil comes out of the front port, through the cooler, under the truck, through the filter, under the ds rocker panel, then returns to the rear port where it feeds the oil galley. will the -8 leave enough oil into the galley to lube the engine?

Thanks, On close examination of the fittings I found that the 10an to 16mm fitting closed down to the same diameter as the 8an!!
1st pic -8 2nd pic -10/16mm 3rd pic 16mm end of the -10/16mm

well I figured if the engine was designed with 1/2" galleys it's for a reason, so i modified the "aviaid oil" fitting so i could use 10an all the way.
