Will the cam from my M6 Camaro work in my A4 Camaro?

Will the cam from my M6 Camaro work in my A4 Camaro?
I have both a 2000 and a 1998 Z28 Camaro. I'm thinking of selling my 2000 and getting a truck and using my 1998 as a DD/weekend toy. The 2000 is 6 speed and the 1998 is an auto. The cam in my 2000 Z28 is a Torquer V2 232/234 .595/.598 lift on a 112* LSA. Been thinking about switching it into the '98. Is that to much of an aggressive cam or to low of an LSA for an auto to be driving around town in?

Thanks for the info guys. Yea I do plan on getting a higher stall, probably like a 3200 or so and I've already got 373's in the rear. The reason I'm keeping the auto over the 6 speed is for the track. I'll be driving the car around a lot of the time but I mostly want it for the track. As for the tune, I've already got a pro lined up for that no problem

Mine drives fine with the Torquer 2 and 4000 stall. I would get a bigger converter that 3200, the converter is what makes the car fast. Call Chris @ Circle D he will set you up with what you need.

The difference between a 3200 and a 4000 is about 200Rpms on acceleration. Once you hit lock up they are exactly the same. At WOT there will be a HUGE difference. Do yourself a favor and go a MINIMUM of 3600, that IMO would still be on the small side though.
Never had to replace the clutch/syncros/shift forks/etc? Ever go to the track? How is that rear end doing? How about the fluid boiling and clutch sticking after 2-3 hard runs?

Go bigger than 3200, you will end up changing that out pretty quick because you will not be satisfied with your ET.

Sorry you had a bad experience, but I've seen alot more rebuilt 4L60e's than T-56's, thats pretty much fact. And I would never own an auto.. blah
It may be a personal opinion, but I find manuals to be alot more fun no comparison there.
Not to mention I get better gas mileage, and can run much higher gears (4.10 +) and still be able to cruise on the highway without revving the **** out of my engine which translates into less engine wear etc...
Did I also mention they make more power to the wheels than autos?..

Ok, may end up going with a 3600 stall then. Why do yall say the V2 is to small of a cam? I love it in my 6 speed car now! Is it any different in an auto car?
Also, can I swap the headers out of my 2000 and into my '98? I'm thinking they probably wont work, but its worth a try to ask

Never had to replace sychros/shift forks, been to the track (no problems with the t-56 in all 3 cars), rear end is negligible since autos AND manuals both have problems with the 10 bolt. Never boiled fluid (wtf?) and NEVER. EVER had my clutch stick.. On any vehicle. 2 of those cars were a 12 second LT1 car and 11 second LS1 car.

Stock auto.. Blah, I like the feeling more than a manual but they are not as much fun.
Stalled auto.... Thats where its at in all aspects.
You could have had 2 11 second lt1 cars and 1 10 second ls1 car if they were stalled autos.

Did I mention that RWHP means absolutely nothing? I make 370Rwhp and am shooting for 10s next track visit.... Full weight 00 TA (radio air seats etc etc etc) and run in regular DA (average of around 1500-2500+).

FWIW, I run a 226/228 .588 114lsa cam and like I said ^^^^^, I am shooting for 10s next track visit and my car is NO WHERE NEAR a "track" oriented car. I even have a cheap *** budget set of heads. It is all in the converter/suspension setup. Cam choice means very little. Heads is the next big deciding factor.
Yes, you can swap the headers out just fine.

It's all perspective really. For all the negatives you pointed out about manuals I could come back with twice as many positives. And to add to that, I've never had any of the problems you stated with any 3 of my T-56's, which I think is one of the best transmissions on the market. Especially with a stage 2 or viper kit from Tick Perf Talk about having your gas mileage cake and eating it too. !

I don't need 410s+ in my auto, it does fine with stock gearing and 373s. I care nothing for MPG, it is not my DD so it stays nice so that is irrelevant. These cars are not bought because people want killer MPG, they are bought because of the platform and like the looks.

My Ms3 cammed ls1 is incredibly good on gas for making 405rwhp (cam only, mustang dyno) mine is not my DD either.
This is a dead horse debate. As for auto's I wouldn't want my sport / muscle car to be anything other than manual.. its just not nostalgic to me. And doesn't go along with the whole look and feel of the car to have an auto.
I've heard countless people say, "Wow nice car, ... oh its an auto". that type of thing
just my .02 to each their own.
