I'd say a 50 rwhp gain wouldn't be too much to ask. Hopefully a bit more. As far as driveability goes your tuner will make or break that for ya. Its all in the tune. Have you baselined the car ? If so what are the numbers? My cam only 2000 FRC back in 2005 with only headers, catback, vararam cai, and a 78 mm fast plus g5x3 cam made 400 rwhp 380 rwtq. Considering you have the ls6 heads, I'd bet 410 to 420 rwhp, and 390-400 rwtq. Just a guess bro. Too many factors. Is your car running perfect now ? Any issues prior to install. I'm basing my guess that everything on your car is good to go.

You are going to put that cam in your Z. The ability for you to run a bigger cam hand have a good daily driver is there because of the manual transmission. Also drive ability comes down to tuning. If your tuner is worth his weight he can take a nice size stick and make it pur like a kitty cat. Really you need a bigger stick for that Z

Nah, thats a good sized cam. 11° of valve overlap should make it a pretty noticeable idle. I would say 50rwhp is not out of the question. You may get around that prior to being tuned.

yeah thats not exactly a small cam....

i wouldn't want to DD that bish. not to say that it can't be done or anything.

also i'de be willing to say that it'll make 420-430 rwhp. but thats just a shot in the dark, idk your whole set up.

I did that math in my head and looking back its actually 13°. You could daily drive it. It really just comes down to your tune and what you think is streetable. Its hard to have someone else tell you what you will like or not like.

I prefer whatever I can get. I have done both ends as well as the middle of the spectrum. There is a difference in every portion. I like the from roll that 240 duration cam will give you and the low end you get from a 220's.

hmmm ^ knowing that...what would be a good cam for all over power? i love my 224r but i'm hungry for a little more....and i can't really justify spending all that money on a 228r when its almost exactly the same as a 224r. i was thinking maybe a custom grind 228/232 .588/.595

Then I would go the EPS grocery getter route. I am sure you have seen the thread with the EPS lobed cam-only that laid down 414rwhp and 400rwtq and the guy's wife didnt even know the thing was cammed.

I would DD that setup ^^ Sucks always being in your powerband though doesnt it? LOL!

Here is where I draw the line. Spooled 4.56 rear end with solid rod end suspension. Try navigating that thing around a crowded parking lot. EFFFFF that.
