i dont have a pic but if you compare them to a stock LS1 one (both off the heads) the 918 is slightly taller and the coils are thinner. i just pulled the 918s off my heads and the blue strip was bearly visable. then when i cleaned them up with brake clean, it was gone completely.

Yes they are. That's the only way you can use the stock retainer with them.
