Default would you pay $1500

im looking to buy a LS motor and someone is asking $1500 it has 80k on it.

would you pay that if you didnt know **** about it?

they are going for cheaper with less miles.

Depends on what all is on it.......wiring? ECM? Accessories?

What year (which intake, etc)?

I wouldn't buy anything for $1500 without careful examination.

What is he including with the engine? I have seen these engines go for cheaper sometimes, but that's only once in a while. You say an LS engine, but is it a LS1,2,LQ9, etc...?

i just bought an ls1 longblock with everything in it for 300 bucks. It has a spun rod bearing but everything else was good. im doing a build so the spun bearing was ok.

**** that better be a ls2 with everything on top. 1500 is halfway to a fordge somthing.

I've never seen an LS2 go for $1500. If you find one for that cheap, let me know.

sorry its a ls1 out of a 98 z28 with a fast intake, no alternator, no wires its just the motor.

that intake is worth alot........id say its probably worth it
i gave 3 grand for mine...86k miles but it had a t56 all wiring and accessories, radiator, and LT headers ....and i felt like i got a heck of a deal....swapped it into my car and cranked it up with no problems what so ever

you should check out and compare the classifieds to see what you get. do your research so make sure you dont get ripped off

Holy crap!! In Canada, LS1's go for $4000 at junk yards... and That T56 comment, those are $2000 alone
