Default PI 215 heads vs tfs heads

So virginia speed has a special on PI heads, cam, and rockers for $3200 and it got me thinking if it would be worth the hassle of swaping out my head/cam for them? I would like to make more hp and tq through out the rpm range. My cam now kind of lacks low end tq. So what would you guys do?

Agreed PI heads are top notch but why not just have some porting done to the TFS 220 as cast heads and save a little dough? PM Brian Tooley and I am sure he can point you in the right direction on what to do or who can do it for you. BTW who spec that cam for you? I might be wrong but it looks like you might to much of a split in the duration for the heads you are running. Just my .02 cents

Just another thought. PM Brian Tooley or send your heads back to TEA to get ported and get a new custom spec cam. Then you can take that other $1500 dallors you are going to save and purchase a Nitrous kit.

Yea i was just seeing if anyone thought it would be worth the hassle. I think i may have a new cam speced out for the car and get a converter instead of the heads. But i would still like to hear your opions

Just ordered my set of PI 215's today! Let me take the time to say, I was IMPRESSED with VA Speeds professionalism, thoroughness and courtacy during my 3 phone calls today. VERY good customer service, actually the best I have seen out of any performance shop yet (and as I business owner I KNOW customer service).

Can't wait to get them on and start tuning it.

You still want to replace that stall. It's got to be costing you 3 mph in the 1/4

if it were me id leave all that alone and get a circled or yank stall and call it a day. that stall is killing the rest of your combo

get a stall speced to how you want the car to perform on and off the track. if you still would like more out of the car i would then move to the heads/cam

Go 4k on the vertor. It will drive virtually the same as a 3600 just hit harder. I wish I had gone 4K on my Yank now.....
