heads/cam questions
hey guys i just ordered my heads/cam from texas speed
i went with the prc stage 2.5 5.3l heads and ms3 cam
couple questions....i also have an ls6 intake, 1 3/4" LT's and true duals
do you think i need to get bigger injectors now or are the stock ones ok??
also .....the car weighs less than 3000lb .....when im on the drag radials the stock clutch slips and i was thinking of going ahead and buying a new clutch..... i want it to take drag racing alot but would like it to be street friendly also ......what do you guys recommend
and lastly .....what kind of power output do you think i will make with this combo??

Get 42lbs now, they're like $320 for some Racetronix/Delphi's. I didn't and I am pretty sure you will be making more power than I am and I was triple digits duty cycle on the dyno.
I went with Monster Stage 4 because it was the same price as Stage 3 and holds 775 lb-ft. I would not recommend this for the street though. As it heats up, SOB grabs and grabs HARD. Only thing I can do is rev it up and dump the clutch and sputter away. Took some getting used to for sure coming from stock.
When I originally was dyno tuned, we could not get a 4th gear pass to rev to 6800, the stock clutch would slip @ IIRC, 6400 everytime. I could not enjoy the new found power of the H/C with the stock clutch. I replaced that and I still cannot enjoy the power, fully, until I replace the injectors! I won't do more than 2 gear pulls @ WOT due to the duty cycle, and that is more than I should with triple digit duty cycle.
