Please help, pushrod question!!
Will these pushrods:LS1 Manley Pushrods 5/16 x 7.450. Part # 25736-16 work on a Thunder Racing 224/224 cam? The CC ones I have been looking at are 7.4, don't know if they are the same specs or not.

If your heads are not milled, I would use aftermarket 7.40" hardened rods.
That 224 cam has about a .025" [smaller] cam centerline to lobe heal distance than the stock cam. That would req. a .rod that is 025" longer than stock. Well, the stock rod is actually 7.385" long. The aftermarket 7.40" hardened rod is then .015" longer than the stock rod.
That gets you within .010" from the stock spec lifter preload. No problem at all.
The 7.45" rods you have will just be too long.
