Default Doing forged rods/pistons in 346. Mahle or ? Recommendations are appreciated.

My machine shop spoke highly of Mahle for their precision parts. What's the going thing price and quality wise for rods and pistons? This will be first time hone and stock stroke. Hopefully a couple of vendors will chime in, thanks.

I've seen diamonds mahle and Weisco next to each other and I've got to say that Weisco pistons are a quality piece, seemed nicer than the other two.

Just built a 408 with diamond pistons and callies rods. To hold a 300 shot.

Mahle Pro Series are usually the most dimensionally accurate pistons. However, Wiseco, Diamond, JE, CP, Racetech, Ross, and Mahle all are quality piston companies...Each will have pro's/con's. If you want the best/most expensive, get CP..Racetech is like a mix between JE and CP. Diamond's are good, but usually on the heavy side...Ross are good and a little cheaper than the other companies. It boils down to who has a shelf piston available for your setup. If noone has a "shelf" piston that meets your requirements, a custom is in order..That's a whole other issue lol

JE piston's, Manley Rod's in my 346, it's made quite a few passes on a 200 shot.
