Default having trouble determining what is causing my low oil pres. problem plz help

hey guys having troubles thought maye someone could help. last year had a motor blow up and then did a rebuild. everything was good after the rebuild. but this spring when i got the car out my oil pressure was about half what it should be. and everything as good before it went in storage. first thig was placed a mech gauge on it and it read equal to the OEM one. then replace the pump with a melling pump and still have the same issues.

Now today i pulled the motor an dropped the pan, found that the pick up tube had some gunk in it but not a rediculous amount. could this be what caused my low pressure problem? or could it be the infamous Oring? Any info would be great.........
Thanks Jason

If it were me, I'd put it back together and see if it cures your pressure woes.
