Noob needs some help. what head gaskets?
hello,
my goal is to make around 430rwhp, i have afr 205 out of the box with a g5x3 114 lsa , not going to flycut, what head gaskets should i use or should i mill the heads to up the compression with a thinner gasket but that may lead to PTV clearance problems. will stock gaskets be fine with a tune to acheive my hp level that i want ?
feel free to chime in
thanks

Orangeapeel.....we send one of those with every set of new AFR heads now!!
TFS who?
OH yeah....regarding the OP's question
Mill the heads to 62 cc's and run a .040 gasket assuming stock pistons....stock displacement.
If you have 93 octane mill the heads to 61 cc's and run the same .040 gasket.
Cometic of Felpro both offer .040 (or .041) thick gaskets for a better quench (the quench distance is the amount of clearance between your piston top and the head deck....tighter than stock is better for performance applications).
Hope this helps....
