need help finding identifying stuff, and swap questions
so i am trying to get a custom spec cam from Pat G on here. I bought a brand new motor that has never been run before, but been sitting in a bedroom for a couple years, and he couldn't find a build sheet for it. The motor is a 410 stroker, Lq4 iron block with forged internals.
Anyways this is the help I need:
How do I find the CC dimension of the pistons?
I contacted JE with the job number from the pistons, they couldn't help much because it is a custom piston set.
I also need to know which oil pan will work on an LQ4 and fit in my 98 Camaro.
will the oil pick up tube from an ls1 fit the lq4?
all help is appreciated, thanks to all who respond.

I will start by saying i dont have a Camaro, so my advice is not concrete.
Hopefully other will chime in as well
I was thinking that an LS1 oil pan and pick-up tube should fit your LQ4. afaik,... LS's have the same external dimensions.
As far as figuring out how many CC dish your pistons have, and if JE didnt know, you may have to look up and figure out how to do it yourself. Are you trying to figure out your CR with this ?
Hope this helps

thanks, i wasn't sure if my stock pan fit or not, at least that way i know i can start in the right direction.
I've been trying to figure out how to find the cc dimension myself, but not having any luck, it is the last number i need so i can order my cam to work perfect. JE didn't have it on there job number file because it is a custom piston size. dang it! but i don't know what a CR is.
